DAKOTA DUNES – Aberdeen’s Olivia Braun shot a 76 on Monday to grab an eight-stroke lead during the opening round of the South Dakota Golf Association Sanford Golf Series event at Dakota Dunes.
Claire Crawford of Aberdeen is tied for fourth with an 88.
Watertown’s Jake Olson owns a two-shot lead in the boys’ division after firing a 71. Three other golfers carded rounds of 82. The top Aberdeen golfer on the opening day was Cole Brust, who is tied for 24th after an 82.
