Johnson tied for third after opening round at Mid-Am

Aberdeen’s Cramer Johnson is among the leaders following the first round of the South Dakota Golf Association’s Mid-Amateur Golf Tournament Saturday at Moccasin Creek Country Club.

Johnson, the former Aberdeen Christian standout, fired a 72 and is tied for third place.

Ryan Anema of Harrisburg leads the pack following a 68 on Saturday.

Parker Edens of Brookings is second with a 70, and Chris Mithelman of Sioux Falls is tied with Johnson with a 72.

A trio of golfers is tied for fifth with rounds of 74. That group includes Scott Holm of Brookings, Ben Irlbeck of Elk Point, and Chris Long of Presho.
