LAKE NORDEN – Lake Norden-Badger and Groton switched leads late before the host squad eventually walked off Groton 8-7 in 10 innings in American Legion baseball action Monday night.

Turner Stevenson delivered the game-winning hit with nobody out to cap off the victory.

Groton had taken a 5-4 in the top of the eighth-inning with four runs, thanks in part to a two-run single by Colby Dunker. However, the hosts went back ahead in the bottom half of the eighth on a wild pitch and Tyson Stevenson’s RBI single.

Groton surged ahead with two runs in the top of the ninth on Bradin Althoff’s two-run double, only to have Lake Norden-Badger tie the game in the bottom of the frame when a run scored on a ground out.

That set the stage for the 10th inning, when a pair of walks preceded Turner Stevenson’s single.

Tyson Stevenson and Turner Stevenson each had three hits, while Kamden Keszler knocked in three runs for Lake Norden-Badger. Dawson Noem struck out a dozen batters.

Brevin Fliehs and Braxton Imrie each had a pair of hits for Groton, while Dunker finished with three RBI.
