Late innings propel Chamberlain to sweep over Redfield

REDFIELD – Chamberlain scored the majority of its runs in the final frames on the way to a doubleheader sweep over Redfield in American Legion baseball action on Saturday afternoon.

The visitors scored 10 runs in its final two at-bats in an 11-0 first-game win as Graden Holen threw a six-inning no-hitter. Chamberlain then produced four runs in the last two innings of a 5-2 victory in the second game.

Holan, who had a two-run double in the first game, struck out 11 batters. Sandler Weikamp and Eli Donovan also drove in a pair of runs in the win.

Micah Zastrow had given Redfield a 2-1 lead with a two-run double in the third inning of the second game before Chamberlain score times in the fourth and once in the fifth for the final margin of difference.

Zastrow finished with a pair of hits for Redfield.
