Redfield blanks Milbank for third place

MILBANK – A pair of Redfield pitchers held Milbank to just three hits on the way to a 8-0 American Legion baseball victory during the third place game at the Milbank Tournament on Sunday afternoon.

Elijah Morrissette struck out 12 batters, before Noah Johnson took over in the sixth inning.

Johnson and Micah Zastrow each had RBI singles in the second inning, while Johnson delivered a two-run double and Morrissette drove in a run during a three-run fourth inning.

Redfield tacked on three more runs in the later innings for the final margin of difference.

Johnson finished with three hits and three RBI to lead Redfield. Zastrow, Morrissette, Jackson Ethridge, and Jackson Rude each had two hits in the victory.

Milbank did have runners on second and third with none out in the second inning, but failed to cash in.
