Redfield Dairy Queen defeats Aberdeen Circus

REDFIELD – Redfield Dairy Queen used a pair of big innings to help fuel a 12-5 victory over Aberdeen Circus Sports Bar in Amateur baseball action on Tuesday night. DQ improved to 8-0 on the season.

The hosts jumped out to a three-run lead in the first inning, and after Circus sliced the gap to 3-2, tacked on five more runs in the fourth inning for a commanding six-run advantage.

Cooper Hainy, Christian De Young, and Camden Osborn each had RBI hits in the fourth frame.

Aberdeen scored twice in the fifth, one coming on Ryan Ellingson’s single, before DQ answered with two runs in the sixth and another in the seventh, thanks in part to sacrifice flies from Nolan Gall and Bennett Osborn.

The two teams traded runs in the eighth for the final margin of difference.

Camden Osborn and Cooper Hainy each had two hits for Redfield, while Bennett Osborn, Cooper Hainy, Gall and Nathan Hainy each drove in a pair. Keaton Rohlfs scored three runs and also stole three bases.

Chad Ellingson’s two hits topped Circus.
