Redfield edges Clark-Willow Lake for Legion win

CLARK – Redfield scored four runs on just two hits on the way to a 4-1 win over Clark-Willow Lake in American Legion baseball action Monday night.

Redfield scored on a passed ball in the top of the first inning and then plated three runs in the third, two coming in on bases-loaded walks. Jacob Schmitt drove in the other run with a single.

Jacob Steen plated Clark-Willow Lake’s lone run with a single in the sixth.

Schmitt allowed just three hits, struck out seven and walked just one.

Clark-Willow Lake pitchers had 15 strikeouts, but also issued a dozen walks.
