Redfield racks up 34 runs in amateur sweep

REDFIELD – Redfield Dairy Queen produced big innings on the way to a doubleheader sweep over the Elkton Snappers in Amateur Baseball action on Saturday afternoon.

Redfield won the first game 21-0 and took the second contest 13-3.

Dairy Queen scored 13 times in the opening inning of the first game, thanks in part to nine walks and pair of hit batters in the frame. Peyton Osborn also had a two-run single.

Cooper Hainy added a grand-slam home run in a five-run second inning.

Hainy finished with three three hits and drove in six. Osborn and Nolan Gall each had three RBI.

Redfield trailed 3-1 in the nightcap before scoring four times in the third and six times in the fourth.

Keaton Rohlfs had a two-run single in the third, before Bennett Osborn, Hainy, and Rohlfs each had two-run doubles in the fourth.

Bennett Osborn had three hits and knocked in four, Rohlfs had two hits and four RBI, and Hainy contributed two hits and plated three.
