Big innings fuel Circus win over Faulkton

Aberdeen Circus Sports Bar scored 14 runs in the first three frames en route to an 18-8 win over the Faulkton Hitmen in Amateur baseball action Monday night at Fossum Field.

Circus scored six runs in the first inning and seven runs in the third.

Corey Harrell, Easton Miller, and Josh Steinwandt each had RBI singles, before Ryan Ellingson added a bases-loaded double to highlight the first inning.

Michael Babcock delivered a two-run double, Harrell hit a two-run home run in the next at-bat, and Kelly Coates had a sacrifice fly in the third inning.

Steinwandt and Coates each finished with three hits, while Michael Babcock, Harrell, Oliver, Millar, and Jesse Babcock each had two for Circus, which finished with 19 hits in all. Ellingson drove in four runs, Harrell contributed three RBI, and Michael Babcock and Millar each plated a pair.

Simon Bowar topped Faulkton with two hits.
