Big innings push W-I-N past Claremont

CLAREMONT – Warner-Ipswich-Northwestern used a pair of seven-run innings to help fuel a 19-5 win over Claremont in American Legion baseball on Thursday night.

W-I-N scored seven times in both the third and seventh frames to highlight the victory.

Quintin Fischbach, Levi Little, and Xavier Kadlec each drove in two runs in the third inning. Fischbach had a pair of RBI singles in the seventh, while Little and Chays Mansfield also had run-scoring hits in the frame.

The Honkers scored twice in the first on Tristan Leidholt’s two-run single, and three times in the sixth as Grant Cutler drove in a pair.

Little finished with four hits and drove in three runs, Fischbach had three hits and a team-leading five RBI, and Kadlec contributed three hits and four RBI.

Cutler topped Claremont with three hits and also drove in two runs.
