Braun continues to lead, Roehrich second at Junior Tour event

VERMILLION – Olivia Braun continues to maintain a small lead atop the girls’ 16-18 division following the second round of the South Dakota Golf Association Junior Tour event at The Bluffs Golf Course on Tuesday.

After shooting a 71 on Monday, Braun had a round of 75 for a 36-hole total of 146, two strokes better than Mitchell’s Allison Meyerink heading into today’s final round. Miller’s Jayce Pugh is in third place with a 153.

In the girls’ 14-15 division, Ronnie Wilharm of Vermillon has a two-day total of 159 for a four stroke lead over Brynn Roehrich of Watertown, who won a state championship this past spring playing for Clark-Willow Lake.

There is a tie atop the boys’ 16-18 division. Riley Christensen of Sioux Falls and Taten Mauney of Hartford are tied for first with identical totals of 139. Christensen shot a 67 on Tuesday while Mauney had a 69.

In the boys’ 14-15 division Rylan Moran of Yankton is the leader with a 36-hole score of 147. Aberdeen’s Finn Anderson is currently in eighth with a 160.
