RAPID CITY – Olivia Braun has a five-stroke lead following the opening round of the South Dakota Golf Association Sanford Tour golf event at Red Rock in Rapid City.

Braun, who has won multiple Sanford Tour events this summer, shot a round of 75, five strokes better than Mitchell’s Allison Meyerink and Maddie Childs.

Luke Olson of Fort Pierre, leads a tight group at the top of the boys’ division. Olson fired a 72, just one stroke better than Riley Christensen of Sioux Falls, and Sawyer Sonnenschein of Fort Pierre, who both shot identical totals of 73.

The tournament concludes today at Meadbrook Golf Course.
