Circus uses late surge to fuel win over Groton

GROTON – Aberdeen Circus Sports Bar four scored times in the sixth inning and four times in the seventh to turn back Groton Locke Electric 12-3 in Amateur baseball action Wednesday night.

Circus led just 4-3 before piecing together the two big frames. Jesse Babcock had a two-run single in the sixth, and Chad Ellingson added a two-run single in the seventh.

Babcock finished with four hits (including two doubles) and Ellingson had three hits for Circus, which had 17 hits and also took advantage of 14 Groton walks. Both players also plated a pair of runs.

Easton Millar, Corey Harrell and Tyler Oliver each had two hits for Aberdeen. Millar also drove in three runs.

Alex Morris topped Groton with four hits, including a double. Ben Althoff contributed two hits.
