After a combined 35 runs and 42 hits, it literally came down to the last batter at Fossum Field Friday night.

Class B fourth-rated Redfield Dairy Queen overcame an early six-run deficit and outlasted Aberdeen Circus Sports Bar for an 18-17 Amateur baseball victory to improve to 13-0 on the season. Circus had runners on second and third in the bottom of the ninth inning when the final out was recorded.

The hosts bolted out to a 7-1 lead in the first three innings of the contest. Kelly Coates and Jesse Babcock each had RBI hits in the first inning, and Easton Millar had two-run doubles in both the second and third frames.

Redfield received a two-run double from Christian DeYoung in the fifth and then scored four more times in the sixth as Owen Osborn drove in a pair, and Cooper Hainy and DeYoung each brought home one run.

Dairy Queen appeared to take control of the game with six runs in the top of the eighth to open a 17-10 advantage. DeYoung and Hainy each drove in a pair, and two other runs came in on an error.
