Warner-Ipswich-Northwestern and Faulkton split games

FAULKTON – Warner-Ipswich-Northwestern blanked Faulkton 5-0, and the Hitmen stopped W-I-N 4-1 in an American Legion baseball doubleheader split on Monday.

Logan Fischbach scattered one hit over five innings for W-I-N. He also helped his own cause with a two-run single in the third inning.

Sam Vetter topped Warner-Ipswich-Northwestern with three hits, including an RBI single in the second frame.

The Hitmen scored all four of its runs on a pair of extra-base hits in the other contest. Blaze Herdman had a two-run double in the third, and Carson Stephenson added a two-run double in the fourth.

W-I-N prevented the shutout in the seventh when Quintin Fischbach tripled and scored on a sacrifice fly by Logan Fischbach.
