MITCHELL – Area squads found out their first-round opponents for the State B Amateur Baseball Tournament in Mitchell this week, while Aberdeen Circus Sports Bar received its first-round foe in the State A Amateur Tournament in Brookings.

Circus will face the Rapid City Diamondbacks at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday. Opening round games featuring area teams in the State B tournament have Lake Norden vs. Dimock-Emery at 11 a.m. Thursday, Castlewood vs. Tabor at 1 p.m. Thursday, Redfield Dairy Queen vs. Elk Point-Jefferson at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, the Northville Merchants vs. Kimball-White Lake at 7:30 p.m. Friday, and the Milbank Firechiefs vs. the Humbold-Hartford Gamecocks at 1 p.m. Saturday.

Both tournaments will eventually conclude on Sunday, Aug. 18.
