RAPID CITY – Aberdeen’s Olivia Braun is tied for first place in the women’s division following the first round of the South Dakota Golf Association Amateur Championship at Meadowbrook Golf Course.
Braun shot a one-over-par 73 and is tied with Reese Jansa of Sioux Falls for the lead in the three-day tournament. Miller’s Jayce Pugh is tied for fifth after firing a 77.
Kevin Gillick of Rapid City tops the men’s division by a single stroke after shooting a three-under-par 69. Will Allen of Harrisburg is in second after a round of 70. There are six golfers within three strokes of each other atop the leaderboard.
