MADISON – Aberdeen Roncalli concluded action at the Madison Invitational Tennis Tournament on Saturday.

Gianna Cihak wrapped up her final singles match and ended up taking fourth place.

The tourney finished up with doubles competition. While the Cavaliers were unable to secure any wins, Roncalli coach Jason Haskell said his players are making progress, including the first year doubles tandem of Katherine Kretchman and Raley Haskell.

“Raley and Kat finally got dialed in and played a great final match against Pierre,” Coach Haskell said. “They lost, but I loved their energy and focus. Gianna had a great weekend at 6 singles and 3 doubles. Her game continues to be on the upward curve of development.”

The Cavaliers, who competed with two injured players, are looking to get back to full strength in time for next weekend’s action in Brookings.

“The team is ready for a week to recover and prepare for next weekend in Brookings,” Coach Haskell said.
