Central golfers finish 11th at Pierre tourney

PIERRE – Pierre swept the individual and team championships at its own golf invitational on Tuesday. The Governors finished with a team total of 273, three strokes better than Watertown. Pierre’s Sawyer Sonnenschein was the medalist with a 64, one stroke ahead of runner-up Kaden Rylance of Watertown.

Aberdeen Central finished 11th in the team standings with a total of 326. The Golden Eagles were led by Carter Blanchard who shot a 79 and finished in 35th.

A trio of Golden Eagles were packed up after that. Jackson Ravellette was 46th with an 81, Kalen Larson was 50th with an 82, and Easton Kludt was 56th with an 84.

Other Central golfers include Ben Phillips who was 68th with an 89, and Kyler Senger who was 70th with a 90.

The Golden Eagles head to Huron for another tournament on Thursday.
