Groton soccer teams split with Belle Fourche

BELLE FOURCHE – The Groton girls picked up a 5-1 win over Belle Fourche, while the Groton boys were blanked 7-0 in soccer action on Friday.

McKenna Tietz scored three goals for the Tigers in the girls’ contest, all in the opening half. Ryelle Gilbert and Jerica Locke also added goals as Groton improved to 2-0-1 on the season.

The Groton squads take on St. Thomas More today.
