Track championships to be settled at BCS this weekend

After weeks of racing action, it all comes down to this weekend at Brown County Speedway, Aberdeen.

Track championships in all five divisions will be determined during a doubleheader tonight and Saturday night at the local track.

All five divisions are still up for grabs, although most leaders do have comfortable margins to work with. In four of the classes, the top driver has a 27-54 point lead.

In the Modified division, Mike Stearns of Aberdeen (who is the current leader in WISSOTA national points) owns a 27-point lead over Dylan Zabel of Selby. Garrett Gross of Aberdeen is 45 points back, while Tyler Anglin of Aberdeen is 57 points off the pace.

Chris Serr of Aberdeen leads a tight pack in the Street Stock division. Serr has a 32-point lead over Maria Broksieck of Goodwin, with Jadyen Bogh of Huron 33 points back, and Michael Bogh of Huron and Jayden Michaelsohn of Aberdeen 40 points off the lead.

Stewart Schipke of Aberdeen takes a 36-point lead into the Super Stock division this weekend. Nathan Grehl of Hitchcock is second, with Mark Abeln of Groton 43 points behind, and Aberdeen’s Matt Johnson 65 points behind.

Aberdeen’s Josh Skorczewski owns a 54-point lead in the Late Model division with 795 points. Kent Arment of Aberdeen is second, with Dustin Arthur of St. Lawrence one point behind Arment, and Chase Gelling of Aberdeen five points behind Arthur.

In the Midwest Modified division Taylor Schmidt of Bath owns a 130-point cushion. Eric Cease of Bath is second, with Dawson Zabel of Selby won point behind Cease.

Racing action concludes for the season next week with the annual Big Buck Nationals Friday and Saturday.
