Aggressive Cavaliers sweep past Sisseton

SISSETON - Aberdeen Roncalli survived a close opening set and then took control for a straight set Northeast Conference volleyball win over Sisseton Thursday night. The Cavaliers collected 11 aces and racked up a three-set season high 41 kills on the way to 25-23, 25-17, 25-19 victory. "The girls played team ball tonight," said Roncalli assistant coach Alyssa Voeller. "We had aggressive serves, which threw them out of system. We were able to keep the energy on our side which helps win games." After the Cavaliers pulled out a tight first set, Voeller told her players they needed to reduce their errors going forward. "After finally pulling out the win, we discussed in our huddle the importance of cleaning up our unforced errors and the girls took it to heart," Voeller said. "They played much more in control the following two sets." Ava Hanson played a key role in the sweep. The senior finished with 16 kills, 13 digs and 5 blocks. "Ava Hanson's leadership and experience
