Brust leads Golden Eagles at Brookings tourney

BROOKINGS – Aberdeen Central’s Cole Brust had a top-25 finish at the Bill Scholten Invitational on Monday.

Brust carded a round of 76 to finish 22 in the field.

Harrisburg won the team title, while the Golden Eagles finished 11th.

A quartet of Golden Eagles all finished within one stroke of each other. Jackson Ravellette finished 52nd with an 82, Ben Phillips with 54th with an 82, Kalen Larson was 56th with an 82, and Carter Blanchard was 57th with an 83. Kyler Senger was 73rd with an 88.

Central will compete in the Mitchell Invitational on Friday.
