Cavaliers sweep pair of tennis duals

MILBANK – Aberdeen Roncalli capped off its last road trip of the regular season with a pair of 6-3 victories over Milbank and Lennox Tuesday afternoon in Milbank. “It was nice to get a couple checks in the win column,” said Roncalli coach Jason Haskell. There was plenty of competitive tennis to go around in those two matches, as four total matches went to tiebreakers, though the Cavaliers did not come out on the top side of any of those breakers. Still, Roncalli claimed competitive victories in plenty of other spots to come away with the two team victories. “Both Lennox and Milbank proved to be worthy opponents,” Haskell said. “Couldn’t have had a better day for tennis.” Haskell pointed out River Haskell’s win over Milbank’s Ashlynn Lamp at flight two singles as a match of note for the Cavaliers. “She played one of her best matches, attacking the ball and won in straight sets,” Coach Haskell noted.
