Central golfers compete at Yankton Invitational

YANKTON – Aberdeen Central golfers had similar rounds during the Yankton Invitational Golf Tournament on Friday.

The Golden Eagles finished with a team score of 353.

Watertown won the tourney with a 301, led by medalist Ty Lenards with a 71. Pierre’s Sawyer Sonnenschein and O’Gorman’s Taten Mauney each had rounds of 74. Sonnenschein was awarded second place based on a scorecard playoff.

Central was led by Ben Phillips and Cole Brust who tied for 46th with rounds of 86. Teammate Jackson Ravellette was two strokes behind tied for 60th.

Other Golden Eagles had Kaylen Larson tied for 86th with a 93, Carter Blanchard tied for 90th with a 95, and Kyler Senger 94th with a 102.
