Christian caps off busy volleyball week with sweep over JVC

HURON - Aberdeen Christian wasted little time putting the finishing touches on a successful week of volleyball with a sweep over James Valley Christian on Saturday afternoon. The Knights rolled to a 25-16, 25-8, 25-12 non-conference victory for their third victory of the week. "We stayed in control," said Christian coach Sara Powell, "were able to work on quicks, all the while having fun." Jolie Fogarty led the Knights with 11 kills to go along with a dozen digs. Arianna Johnson contributed four aces and seven kills, and Sophia Eichler had a season-high seven kills and a solo block. Sawyer Schwan orchestrated the Christian offense with 30 set assists. The Knights will have another big week ahead, traveling to Wilmot on Tuesday before hosting Lake Region Conference foe Faulkton on Thursday at the Christian School Gym.
