FREDERICK – Aberdeen Christian picked up its fifth straight road victory on Thursday night.

The Knights recorded a 25-16, 25-20, 25-18 win over Leola-Frederick in a Lake Region Conference volleyball match.

Payton Skarin led the Christian attack with a match-high 17 kills. Arianna Johnson contributed seven kills, and Jolie Fogarty added six. Sophie Glynn topped the team with four aces, and Johnson followed with three.

“As the season is closing, we are focusing on limiting our errors and getting good hits,” said Christian coach Sara Powell.

Jill Ellwein topped the Titans with five aces and nine kills to go along with 23 digs. Kaitlyn Mueller added five kills.

Aberdeen Christian, 14-9 on the season, heads to a tournament in Redfield on Saturday. Other teams in the tourney include Redfield, Florence-Henry, Potter County, and Warner.
