WATERTOWN - Aberdeen Central ran into one of the hottest volleyball teams in the state Tuesday night. The Golden Eagles were swept by fourth-rated Watertown 25-16, 25-15, 25-16 in an Eastern South Dakota Conference volleyball match. The Arrows have now won 17 of their last 18 matches. "Watertown is very good," said Central coach Jackie Bindenagel. "We hung with them until about the middle of each set, and then they would find a way to go on some big runs." Central evenly divided its 19 kills in the contest with Kenadi Withers and Lauryn Burckhard each collecting five, Kamdyn Borge contributing four, and Amelia Rife finishing with three. Taylin Kleffman led the Golden Eagles from the service line with all three of team's aces to go along with a team-leading 16 digs. Maddie Sandvig added 11 digs for the Golden Eagles, who slipped to 12-6 on the year.
