Dell Rapids new number one in Class A volleyball

Dell Rapids has regained its position atop Class A in this week’s Prep Media volleyball poll.

The Quarriers received all but one first-place vote. Dakota Valley slipped to second, and Sioux Falls Christian, which received the other first-place vote, is third. Miller is rated fourth and Hamlin is receiving votes.

In Class B Warner continues to be rated third, Hitchcock-Tulare fourth, and Northwestern fifth.

Harrisburg, which plays Aberdeen Central at Golden Eagles Arena on Thursday, is a unanimous number one in Class AA, while defending state champion Chester Area is a unanimous number one in Class B.

Here is the South Dakota Media volleyball poll for the week of Oct. 14, 2024. Teams are listed with first place votes in parenthesis, record, points and previous ranking.
