
WARNER – Jesiah Baum scored three touchdowns as Warner wrapped up another Lake Region Conference football championship with a 21-0 football win over Leola-Frederick Friday night.
The Monarchs have now won 20 straight games, and 31 of their last 32 contests. Warner’s last loss took place in the Class 9A championship game in 2022.
Baum finished with night with 90 yards rushing and one touchdown, 135 yards receiving on four catches and two more touchdowns, and led the Monarchs with nine tackles.
Drew Bakeberg passed for 155 yards in the victory as Warner capped its third straight undefeated regular season. The Monarchs will host Gayville-Volin Thursday in the opening round of the Class 9A playoffs.
Leola-Frederick, which slipped to 6-2 on the season, received 71 yards rushing from Gavin Nickelson, 63 yards rushing from Westyn Thorpe, and 69 yards passing from Noah Kippley. The Titans will host Kimball-White Lake on Thursday in the opening round of the Class 9AA playoffs.
