WEBSTER – Aberdeen Christian scored the final four points of the night to finish off a five-set victory over Webster Monday night.

The Knights won the back-and-forth non-conference match 25-23, 23-25, 25-15, 12-25, 15-11.

“Man, it was definitely a roller coaster,” said Christian coach Sara Powell.

Christian ended up finishing the contest with a different lineup in the final set, due to a pair of players not being available with set limitations.

“JV went three sets, so I didn’t have Brynn (Powell) or Sophie (Glynn) for my fifth set,” Coach Powell said. “Iszy (Helm) and Katie (Haar) stepped up to finish the fifth set.”

It was also a memorable match for junior Libero Alexis Isakson, who set a new school record with 59 digs in the contest.

Ari Johnson topped the Knights with 20 kills, to go along with two aces and a pair of solo blocks. Jolie Fogarty finished with 13 kills and 19 digs.

Sawyer Schwan had a team-leading six aces and 45 set assists.

“Lots of great volleyball,” Coach Powell said.
