Knights win one of three at Redfield tournament

REDFIELD - Aberdeen Christian lost a pair of three-set matches before rebounding for a win its final match during the Redfield Volleyball Tournament on Saturday. Christian fell to Potter County 21-25, 25-20, 25-22, and lost to Redfield 21-25, 25-11, 25-19 in pool play. The Knights then defeated Timber Lake 25-23, 25-10, 25-18. "It was a slow start for us, but we finished strong," said Christian coach Sara Powell. "It's always fun to play different teams that we don't normally see." Arianna Johnson had 25 total kills on the day to lead the Christian offense. Powell said the team had to play with a bit of a different look. "Our team has had a lot of sicknesses," Powell said, "so we just had to work out some different lineups and keep working." Christian, 15-11 on the season, wraps up its regular season schedule with a flurry, playing at Webster on Monday and at Ipswich on Tuesday before taking a break heading into the postseason.
