CLEAR LAKE – Aberdeen Roncalli used a strong service game to dispatch Deuel on Monday night.

The Cavaliers racked up 18 ace serves to fuel a 25-12, 25-19, 25-13 Northeast Conference volleyball victory.

“We came out playing very well the first set, but then really let them back in the second and third,” said Roncalli coach Leesa Ware. “We didn’t play our best tonight. Serving was on and was aggressive with numerous aces.”

Rylee Voeller led the Cavaliers from the service line with six aces on the night.

“Rylee Voeller had a great serving night and really mixed it up,” Ware said.

A trio of other players each finished with three aces for Roncalli.

The Cavaliers also featured a balanced attack at the net. Ava Hanson led the way with six kills, while Maddie Huber, Karsyn Davis, and McKenna O’Keefe each contributed five.

Huber also led Roncalli with 22 set assists and 13 digs.

The Cavaliers, 13-8, will conclude the regular season with a home match tonight against Herreid-Selby Area at Roncalli Gym before starting postseason play next week.
