Class 11AA continues to be a volatile football division this fall as is evident in this week’s Prep Media poll.

Yankton has taken over the top spot this week after taking down last week’s top-rated team Brookings. Spearfish remained second. Other teams that have spent time at number one in 11AA this fall include Watertown and Pierre.

Among area squads, Faulkton inched up to second in Class 9B, while other teams retained their positions. Hamlin is third in Class 9AA, Warner is third and Wolsey-Wessington fourth in Class 9A, and Sully Buttes is fourth in Class 9B. Ipswich received a vote in Class 9A after an overtime win over previously unbeaten Leola-Frederick last weekend.

This is the final week of the regular season for Class 11B and all 9-man teams.
