The Aberdeen Wings outshot red hot Bismarck Friday night, but the Bobcats scored a pair of unanswered goals in the third period to claim a 5-3 NAHL hockey victory at the Odde Ice Center.

Bismarck, which received goals from five different players, has lost just one time in 22 games so far this season.

The Wings jumped in front first on a goal by Grant Winkler with assists by Brady Estrabook and Sebastian Lillsund.

After the visitors scored back-to-back goals to take a 2-1 lead, Aberdeen responded with two goals of its own for a 3-2 lead after the opening period. Jack McDonough found the back of the net on assists by Ryan Flaherty and Winkler, before Leonid Bulgakov scored his 18th goal of the season.

However, that was the last of the scoring for the Wings on the evening.

Bismarck tied the score in the second period, and the game remained 3-3 until late in the period. The Bobcats took the lead with 6:41 remaining, and then added an empty-netter in the closing minutes to ice the victory.

Aberdeen outshot the Bobcats 35-30 in the contest, including 15-8 in the final period.

The same two teams are back in action tonight with puck drop set for 7:15 at the Odde Ice Center.
