Bragg’s last-second shot lifts Wolves past Mary

Madelyn Bragg took a feed from Rianna Fillipi and made a last-second shot as Northern State won its conference opener in women’s basketball Thursday night.

Bragg finished with 25 points and 14 rebounds to power the Wolves to a 73-71 Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference victory.

Morgan Fiedler added a season-high 17 points for NSU, which has now won three straight after dropping its first two games to start the season.

Fillipi finished with 14 points for the Wolves.

Northern will play a pair of games out in Hawaii right after Thanksgiving next week.
