Weeks of work, training, and competition will all come to a head this week as Class B volleyball teams head into postseason competition. Region tournament action gets underway on Monday and finishes on Thursday. Two teams from each region will advance to the SoDak 16 the following week.

There are numerous quality teams among the area squads, including three which are part of the top five rated teams in the state: Warner, Hitchcock-Tulare, and Northwestern.

Here is a look at each region involving area teams:

Region 1B

Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday

This is one of the toughest regions in the state to get out of with three of the top five Class B teams residing here.

Warner is the top seed and played a solid schedule as always. The real battle will take place in the other half of the bracket where Hitchcock-Tulare and Northwestern will likely meet in a win or go home match.

Both teams have been among the top teams in the state this year and should wage a memorable match to keep its season alive.

Aberdeen Christian has pieced together a solid season and will be looking for a rematch with Warner in the other semifinal.
