NSU women sweep weekend road trip

RAPID CITY – It was a successful weekend road trip for the Northern State women’s basketball team. After taking down Black Hills State on Friday, the Wolves topped School of Mines 82-68 on Saturday in non-conference women’s college basketball.

NSU was led in scoring by Rianna Fillipi against Mines with 23 points. She made eight of her 13 field-goal attempts.

Madelyn Bragg followed with 18 points, Alyana Benike added 13, and Izzy Moore finished with nine.

The Wolves, 2-2 on the season, open up Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference play by hosting Mary at 7 p.m. Thursday at Wachs Arena.

NSU will then head to Hawaii for a pair of games right after Thanksgiving.
