SIOUX FALLS – Defending State B champion Chester Area came out swinging in the first round of the State Volleyball Tournament on Thursday morning at the Sanford Premier Center. The Flyers flew past Castlewood 19-9, 25-19, 25-13 to start off the tourney. Chester scored the first 11 points, forcing the Warriors to fight an uphill battle the entire first set, with a young squad which hasn’t had the experience in the state tournament quite yet. “I don’t think we were mentally prepared for that game. We have a lot of young girls who haven’t been in the state tournament,” said Castlewood head coach Breanna DeKam. “It felt like déjà vu all over again. We played Chester last year, went down 11-0. There was a lot of frustration right at the beginning.” In that first rotation, the Warriors were without Emerson Carter, who came in down 11-1, and the Warriors looked to put her to use right away. Although she didn’t get a kill immediately, she scored the third point
