Wings blank Watertown, move into tie for third

Leonid Bulgakov had a hat trick to power the Aberdeen Wings to a 3-0 win over Watertown in NAHL hockey action Wednesday night at the Odde Ice Center.

The win propelled the Wings into a third place tie in the Central Division standings.

Bulgakov scored once in the second period, before adding two more goals in the third. He now has 17 goals on the season.

Six different Wings had assists on the night. Nick Comfort and Cole Saterdalen assisted on the first goal, Brody Estabrook and Sebastian Lillsund had assists on the second, and Gavin Reed and Cooper Anderson assisted on the final goal.

Aberdeen goalie Willum Braun stopped all 31 shots he faced.

The Wings outshot the Shamrocks 34-31 in the contest.

Aberdeen will now host the Central Division leading Bismarck Bobcats on Friday and Saturday, with puck drop set for 7:15 p.m. each night at the Odde Ice Center. Bismarck has lost just one game so far this season.
