RAPID CITY – A quartet of girls’ wrestlers earned places for Aberdeen Central during the Rapid City Invitational which wrapped up on Saturday.

The Golden Eagles were led by Madison Little who was third at 100 pounds, winning her final match by an 11-4 decision. Lin Paw Jone finished fourth at 145, Jasmine Maas won her final match by fall to claim fifth at 132, and Lilly Nelson took sixth at 165.

“We had some ups and downs, but it was still a good day,” said Central coach Jake Flakus. “I’m proud of the effort they gave, and it gave us a lot to build on.”

The Golden Eagles, who competed for three straight days this past weekend, have another busy week ahead. Central travels to Pierre on Tuesday for a dual, before competing in the Madison Invitational on Saturday.
