Cougars complete three-game sweep over Storm

SIOUX CENTER, Iowa. – The Aberdeen Cougars completed a weekend sweep over the Sioux Center Storm in dominant fashion on Sunday morning. The Cougars received goals from eight different players on the way to an 8-1 girls’ hockey victory.

Rachel Siefken and Addyson Keller each scored a pair of goals for the Aberdeen, which outshot the hosts by a 46-12 margin.

Olivia Sandvig, Kalin Hepper, Kaylee Dixon, and Madeline Sandvig each found the back for the net once for the Cougars, who outscored Sioux Center 17-3 in the three victories on the weekend.

Siefken also had three assists in the win, while Madeline Sandvig assisted on one goal.

The Cougars remained unbeaten in league play with a 6-0 mark. They now have a pair of non-league games coming up this weekend. Aberdeen plays at Mandan, N.D., on Saturday, and at Dickinson, N.D., on Sunday.
