NSU women fall to Dragons in overtime

MOORHEAD, Minn. – Minnesota State Moorhead erased an eight-point fourth-quarter deficit and never trailed in overtime in a 73-70 women’s college basketball win over Northern State Thursday night.

The Wolves missed a potential game-tying three-point field goal at the buzzer in the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference contest.

Michaela Jewett and Morgan Fiedler each scored 15 points to pace NSU. Madelyn Bragg finished with 11 points and 12 rebounds. Decontee Smith contributed 11 points. Rianna Fillipi and Izzy Moore each added eight.

The Wolves slipped to 4-4 overall and 1-1 in the NSIC. Northern plays at Bemidji State and St. Cloud State next weekend.
