MASON CITY, Iowa – Cade Moxham scored with 10.4 seconds left in overtime to lift the Aberdeen Wings to a 5-4 NAHL hockey win over North Iowa Friday night.

Moxham had tied the score late in regulation to force the extra session, finding the back of the net with less than four minutes remaining.

Gustas Zemaitis had a first period goal for Aberdeen before Grant Winker and Isham Mittoo scored back-to-back goals to give the Wings a 3-1 lead in the second period. However, the Bulls responded with three unanswered goals to set the stage for the late-game heroics.

Luke Backel assisted on three of Aberdeen’s five goals in the contest.

The same two teams are back at it this evening.
