Aberdeen Central, 7-1 on the season, has jumped into the top five in the Class AA girls’ poll in this week’s Prep Media basketball polls.

The Golden Eagles, who have won six straight games, host top-rated unbeaten O’Gorman tonight at Golden Eagles Arena.

Among other area teams, Castlewood continued to be the top-rated team in Class B boys, Hamlin remained second in Class A boys, Leola-Frederick stayed fourth in Class B boys, and Hamlin remained fifth in Class A girls.

All of the other top-rated squads retained their positions on top of their respective polls.
