MELLETTE – Tara Blachford had 17 points, three assists and five steals to help power Northwestern to a 49-30 Lake Region Conference girls’ basketball win over Leola-Frederick Thursday night.
Adriana Ratigan followed with 11 points, Ashley Haven added nine, and Ella Boekelheide contributed seven for the Wildcats, who improved to 7-2 on the season.
Eden Podoll and Arabella Clark each tossed in nine points for Leola-Frederick. Jillian Ellwein finished with eight.
