GROTON – Groton used a 14-3 second-quarter surge to erase an early deficit on the way to a 55-43 non-conference girls’ basketball win over Webster Thursday night.

Jaedyn Penning scored 17 points to lead the Tigers, 10-4 on the season. Kennedy Hansen followed with 10, and Jerica Locke added nine points, seven rebounds, and four assists.

Erin Sannes led all scorers with 21 points for Webster.
