FARGO, N.D. – Madison Little finished runner-up to help power the Aberdeen Central girls to a ninth-place team finish at the Rumble on the Red Wrestling Tournament on Friday.
Little won her semifinal match by major decision before losing by fall in the championship match.
“Madison had a great tournament with a nice win in the semifinals today,” said Central coach Jake Flakus.
Allison Neitzel and Rakyrah Wallace each finished sixth for the Golden Eagles, both in similar fashion. Each were behind in consolation matches before winning by fall.
“Other girls that exceeded expectations were Allison Neitzel and Rakryah Wallace,” Flakus said, “who both got pins when they were losing.”
The Golden Eagles finished ninth in team points in the 67-team field.
Central has duals at Huron on Tuesday and at Pierre on Thursday.
