GETTYSBURG – Potter County connected for seven 3-pointers on the way to a non-conference girls’ basketball win over Aberdeen Christian Thursday night.

A total of five different players nailed three-point field goals for the Battlers in a 56-19 victory.

The Knights got off to another slow start, trailing 16-1 after the first eight minutes of the game. Potter County hit three shots from beyond the 3-point arc in first quarter.

While Christian found its offense in the middle quarters, it struggled in the final period, managing just two points.

Jolie Fogarty led the Knights eight points.

Peyton Stevens finished 16 points, including a trio of 3-pointers to lead Potter County, and Finlee Heien followed with 15 points. Emma Schlechter contributed 13 points as the Battlers evened their record at 5-5 on the season.

Christian, 0-8, is off until playing at Faulkton on Tuesday.
