MELLETTE – Northwestern built a double-digit lead, lost it, and then edged Langford Area 69-67 in overtime in a Lake Region Conference boys’ basketball contest Friday night.

Jack Hansen scored 26 points, including five in OT, to lead three players in double figures for the Wildcats. Ty Boekelheide added 13 points, and Jarren Haven finished with 11. Dallas Stoltenberg contributed seven points, 11 rebounds, and seven assists.

Kassen Keough scored a game-high 40 points for Langford Area, including a buzzer-beating 3-pointer at the end of regulation to force overtime. Jacob Samson added 15 points. The Lions, who trailed by as much as 15 points, were down 11 heading into the fourth quarter.
